Pictured here is Chasca, one of our all-time favorite alpacas from our farm.
My name is Leann Alexander and my daughter Jessica and I are aspiring fiber artists for our farm, Alpacas of Alagaesia. My daughter Jessica and I make a lot of things with the alpaca fiber, we can't get enough of it!
We now are leasing a booth at the South Bend Farmers Market and we are very excited to share our alpaca things with the vistors in South Bend! Come by and see us Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays!
I think this surfer chic pattern (found in Chicks with Sticks crochet pattern book) makes perfect summery hats and I couldn't resist making one in this hand dyed blue alpaca yarn. All the colors of a vacation get away at the beach (at least in my dreams!) come to mind with the blues that were used in coloring it. I thought it was an extra bonus with how it striped itself down in the spirals from the top!

Love the yarn and the pattern. I'm making two similar styles for my daughter and her friend who's moving.
